About
San Francisco-based Youth Activist & Organizer.
Ewan Barker Plummer is a youth activist, advocate, and organizer in San Francisco. After his mom took him to phonebank for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 general election campaign, Ewan found his interest in politics. As his interest grew, he found it difficult to get involved at a young age.
Starting with a District Attorney campaign, Ewan began volunteering for the candidates and propositions he supported. Now he works to make sure young San Franciscans, like him, can get involved and have a voice in the future of our City.
In September 2021, Ewan was appointed to the San Francisco Youth Commission by Mayor London Breed. He is currently serving his second term on the Commission, where he has advocated on issues like gun violence prevention, protecting and affirming queer youth, and engaging youth in local government.
